I build interfaces people can grab, drag, and rely on, for resorts, families, and patients.

About

For the last four years I was a senior engineer at TimeShareWare, where I rebuilt the Room Matrix, the drag-and-drop board resort companies like Vidanta and Hyatt use to manage thousands of rooms, and cut its load time from as long as 90 seconds to 10 or less. It’s the kind of UI I love: dense, fast, and hard to get right.

Before that I led a team of seven at Readeo to ship a family reading app, and I was one of the first five employees at LowestMed, which grew 7x and was acquired by RetailMeNot.

I work mostly in React and TypeScript, lean on Claude Code every day, and am happy to pair on a problem in English or Spanish. I’m looking for a long-term team where I can stay hands-on and help shape the architecture and design decisions that make a product better.

Building the tools resorts run on

TimeShareWare makes the platform that 7–10 resort companies, including Vidanta and Hyatt, use to run hundreds of resorts. On a UI team of about seven, I built in React, Redux, and TypeScript on a C# / .NET backend, reviewed code, ran releases, and was the go-to engineer for design and styling.

The Room Matrix

Sample data

A tiny version of the board I rebuilt. Drag a stay or a maintenance block to another room or night. Overlaps are rejected, just like the real thing.

  • Rebuilt the Room Matrix with drag-and-drop. Staff assign reservations to rooms, move dates, and block rooms for maintenance right on the board.
  • Replaced a board that couldn’t drag at all and had recurring problems assigning rooms and displaying stays correctly.
  • Made it fast. A faster data API and lazy loading took load times from 30–90 seconds down to 1–10, across thousands of rooms.

Reservation booking

Built the room search, booking, and usage/points payment screens, wired closely to backend APIs.

Design & styling lead

Implemented the modernized look and feel across much of the app.

AI-assisted dev

Early Claude Code adopter. Taught the team Claude Skills and set up our shared AI context.
